a
multicultural
family,
I
have
always
been
curious
about
my
roots.
My
mother
is
from
China
and
my
father
is
from
the
United
States,
making
me
a
blend
of
both
cultures.
However,
as
I
got
older,
I
realized
that
I
knew
very
little
about
my
heritage
and
wanted
to
explore
it

opportunity

travel
to
China
with
my
mother
and
explore
her
hometown.

an
eye-opening

firsthand
the
customs
and
traditions
that
my
family
had
passed
down
for
generations.
From
trying
authentic
Chinese
cuisine
to
visiting
historical
landmarks,
every
moment
of
the
trip
was
filled
with
discovery
and

language

also
immersed
myself
in
the
culture
by
